Programmer Analyst I

Information Sciences Institute (ISI), a unit of USC's Viterbi School of Engineering, is a world leader in the research and development of advanced information processing, computing, and communications technologies. ISI operates one of the world's largest academic high-performance computing clusters. ISI has three research campuses:  one in Marina Del Rey, CA; one in Arlington, VA; and one in Waltham, MA. This position is located in Marina del Rey, CA. Information Sciences Institute (ISI) seeks a Programmer Analyst I for a 1-year, fixed-term position.  JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: Analyzes, assesses & modifies existing programs to conform to system changes or to make improvements in the existing program Stays informed of new developments and technologies Assists with the analysis, design, documentation, testing and maintenance of programs Writes, tests, debugs, translates and documents programs and applications according to specifications to enhance functionality and/or performance as necessary Assists in researching, identifying, analyzing and fulfilling requirements of all internal and external program users Assists users with procedural or minor technical problems Follows protocols and procedures to ensure application security PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:  Experience with deep learning toolkits such as Keras The University of Southern California values diversity and is committed to equal opportunity in employment. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
