Our Client located near Marina del Rey, CA needs a SharePoint Functional Business Analyst for a 6 month Contract position to migrate 3 Lotus Notes applications to SharePoint. The person must be a SharePoint 2010 expert and must have at least 3-4 years of functional BA experience.

The Senior Business Analyst in IT serves as a primary interface to the business users, with the guidance from a business relationship manager to assist the BRM teams in understanding the business processes, workflows, and information requirements of the users. The Senior Business Analyst will primarily serve in support of current and future applications, the requirements analysis and functional design process, and the testing services for enhancements and projects. Expertise with ITIL and SDLC is a must and SharePoint 2010 and Lotus Notes
Responsibilities include the following:
Collect, review, analyze, manage, system and user requirements from business users.
Work with the business & technical teams to clarify functional requirements.
Document detailed proposals, functional & data business requirements, process flows, use cases, information needs, test scenarios, and obtain functional design specification approvals.
Manage the UAT process by performing smoke testing, test case validation, and obtaining business approvals on UAT for scheduled deployments.
Serve as a liaison to other teams in planning, coordination, development and deployment of multi-team enhancement or projects.
Ensures delivery of project and enhancement requirements meet the requirements defined by the business customer.
Accountable for ensuring training needs are met for new or existing applications.
Analyze/understand business challenges; map current business processes to the new system or service, determine interface requirements, and resolve any issues which may affect the business process.
Develop detailed functional requirements & testing scenarios that can be used to develop internal design specifications for systems or services.
Work with the technical analysts to ensure that the delivered system matches the functionality specified; Ensure business satisfaction with IT services and products; understand and communicate user expectations.
Help train users in the functionality developed.
Assist the users in developing their user or business procedures.
Day to Day activities:
The primary applications supported or used will be SharePoint 2010.
The Sr. BA will be responsible for managing enhancement requests, gathering requirements and UAT.
The candidate will need to be able to communicate with all levels of the organization; from other business analysts to senior executives.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
