We are looking for a talented, passionate, and self-motivated individual to drive the implementation of audio into our games.
You will work closely with all disciplines and bridge the gap between the audio content creation teams and the engineering and design teams.
Applicants should be enthusiastic about collaborating with developers across disciplines, working iteratively to improve the game, and embracing opportunities to solve problems.
Candidates are expected to be self-starting and proactive in identifying risks and determining solutions.
They should also have a passion for adding the extra polish that sets our games apart.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, debug, and optimize audio and music pipelines, tools, and features.
Implement in-game audio assets, including sound effects, music, and voiceover.
Implement and support a rooms and portals system to control spatial audio.
Design and implement haptic feedback in cooperation with DesignFinalizing and optimizing audio for release on multiple platformsWrite and maintain audio-related documentation.
Work collaboratively with members of all disciplines in a highly iterative environment.
Work with external audio studios, outsourcers, and contributors.
Requirements:
5
years of professional experience as a Technical Sound Designer role.
2
years of experience in Unreal Engine, including significant experience with Blueprints2
years of experience with WWise1
shipped titles on console, PC, or VRSignificant experience working with:
Dynamic music systemsNarrative and voice-over systemsSpatial audioPositive and collaborative attitudeIndependent problem solver and effective multitaskerSelf-motivated, organized, and focusedPluses:
Experience in VR/AR development.
Programming experience in languages such as C++, C#, and PythonExperience with 3D spatialized audio and related formats, such as binaural and ambisonic.
Experience with performance capture, VO recording, and localization pipelines.
Experience designing and implementing haptics feedback.
Degree in Music Technology, Audio Engineering, or other relevant field of study.

Base salary range between $115,000 USD - $130,000 USD (Base salary range for applicants located within the United States)Please note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the California Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements Law.
Survios takes into consideration a candidate's education, training, and experience, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
